Haryana describes land through the grid the consolidation left behind. A Murabba is twenty-five Killas, each Killa is a numbered square, and area is written in Kanal and Marla rather than acres. A holding is a list of Killa numbers inside one or more Murabbas, and reading it on paper tells you nothing about which of those squares touch each other.
The map that shows you is the Musavi, the scaled field map of the village, drawn across several sheets. Get the sheets for the Murabbas your Killas fall in through the Jamabandi Haryana portal or the tehsil, then line them up along their shared boundaries in Village Map Joiner's in-browser editor. Musavi (Shajra Kishtwar)
The scaled field map of a revenue village, drawn across several sheets, showing each Murabba and the Killa numbers inside it. A holding assembled from Killas in different Murabbas is spread across more than one sheet, which is what makes them worth joining.
How to get it: Through the Jamabandi Haryana portal for your district, tehsil and village, or from the Patwari for the circle where a sheet is not served online. Ask for every sheet your Murabbas fall on, not just the first.
Jamabandi (Nakal or Fard)
The record of rights for a village, revised periodically: the owner, the cultivator, the Killa and Khasra numbers held, and the area in Kanal and Marla. A copy of it is what people mean by a Fard.
How to get it: Open the Jamabandi Haryana portal, select district, tehsil and village, and search by owner name, Khewat or Khasra number. The online copy is for information; a certified Nakal comes from the tehsil or the Patwari.
Tatima Shajra
The sheet drawn when a Killa or Khasra is partitioned, showing the new shares of a parent parcel that the main Musavi still draws as one. A holding divided among heirs usually cannot be understood from the Musavi alone.
How to get it: Prepared by the Patwari after a partition or a sale of part of a parcel, and held with the village record at the tehsil. Ask for the Tatima alongside the Musavi sheet for the parent Killa.
Intkaal (mutation)
The entry that records a transfer by sale, inheritance or partition against the holding. Until it is sanctioned the Jamabandi still shows the previous owner, which is what a buyer checking a Killa number actually needs to know.
How to get it: Applied for at the tehsil, with the Patwari preparing the entry and the Revenue Officer sanctioning it. Mutation status is worth checking before relying on a downloaded Fard for a purchase.

- The Murabba is the square block the consolidation laid out, and it holds twenty-five Killas. A Killa is one numbered square inside it, which is why Haryana holdings are written as a Murabba number followed by a list of Killa numbers. Khasra number is the older, general term for a field number and you will still see it used for the same thing, especially in unconsolidated and abadi land.
- What is a Tatima Shajra?
- The sheet drawn when a Killa or Khasra is partitioned: it shows the new shares of the parent parcel that the main Musavi still draws as one. A holding that has been divided among heirs usually needs its Tatima sheets joined to the surrounding Musavi before the whole picture makes sense.
