What you can do
Merge Contiguous Survey Numbers for Your Layout
A layout assembled from several purchases has to be shown as one continuous extent. Join every purchased survey number into a single map for your DTCP or CMDA file.
A layout venture is rarely one survey number. It is assembled parcel by parcel, often over months, from several owners — and every purchase brings its own FMB sketch.
Planning approval, bank finance and any serious buyer all want to see the venture as one continuous extent with its boundaries described. That means putting every purchased survey number onto a single drawing.
One payment covers 24 hours: any number of sheets, unlimited edits and unlimited full-resolution downloads. Your files never leave your device.
When you need this
You have bought five adjacent parcels across three survey numbers and are preparing a layout application. Each parcel has its own sketch; the application needs one plan.
The same drawing answers the first question every prospective buyer asks — where does the layout actually begin and end, and what lies immediately outside it.
What you need first
- The FMB sketch for every survey number in the venture, and the village map if the land runs across a village boundary.
- The sale deeds, so the extent on the map can be checked against the extent you actually bought.
- The patta and A-Register extract for each parcel, which record classification — relevant where any part is dry, wet or natham land.
How to do it
- 1
Collect every sheet
Download the FMB for each survey number in the venture. Where parcels sit in different villages, download each village map too.
- 2
Join them into one extent
Add every sheet to the editor and snap them together along their shared boundaries until the whole venture reads as one continuous block.
- 3
Check for gaps
Look along every internal join for a parcel you have not bought. An unbought strip inside the block is the single most expensive thing to discover late.
- 4
Label the parcels
Mark each survey number and subdivision on its piece, so the plan can be read against the deeds without cross-referencing a separate list.
- 5
Export at planning scale
Download a print-ready PDF at a sheet size that stays legible at the scale your application requires.
Frequently asked questions
Does this replace the layout plan a licensed surveyor prepares?+
No. An approval application needs a plan prepared to the authority's specification, typically by a licensed surveyor or an engineer. A joined FMB map shows the land as the revenue record holds it — useful for due diligence and for briefing whoever draws the formal plan.
What if one parcel is in a different village?+
Join the village maps at their shared boundary first, then place the parcels. The cross-village join is covered on its own page.
Is there a limit on how many survey numbers I can join?+
No. Editor access is a flat one-time charge regardless of how many sheets you add.
Would you rather we did it for you?
