Chhattisgarh keeps the record in two halves under one name. The B-1 is the record of rights for a holding, naming the holder and the area, and the P-II is the Khasra register that records what was grown on each field. Bhuiyan serves both, and the Bhu-Naksha module draws the same Khasra numbers on the village map.
That map is served a sheet at a time against district, tehsil and village, so a holding whose Khasra numbers sit near a sheet edge comes out cut in half. Bhu-Naksha (village map)
The cadastral map of a revenue village, showing each Khasra number with its boundaries. It is served a sheet at a time, so a holding of several Khasra numbers, or one at a sheet edge, needs more than one sheet to see whole.
How to get it: Open the Bhu-Naksha module, choose your district, tehsil and village, select the Khasra numbers you need and download or print each sheet. Repeat for every sheet your holding spans.
B-1 (Record of Rights)
The record of rights for a holding: the holder, the Khasra numbers under it, the area of each and the class of land. This is the half of the record a title question is answered from.
How to get it: Open Bhuiyan, choose district, tehsil and village, and search by Khasra number, Khata number or holder name. The online copy is for information; a certified copy comes from the tehsil.
P-II (Khasra register)
The other half: the field register recording what was grown on each Khasra number season by season, and how the land was actually used. A question about cultivation, irrigation or crop loss is answered here rather than on the B-1.
How to get it: Served alongside the B-1 on Bhuiyan for the same village and Khasra number, and held by the Patwari for the circle.
Rin Pustika and diversion
The Rin Pustika is the holder's land passbook, carrying the holding's details and any loan charged against it, and it is what a co-operative or a bank asks to see. Diversion is the separate permission that changes recorded use away from agricultural, which is what any construction on farm land needs.
How to get it: The Rin Pustika is issued through the tehsil. Diversion is applied for at the tehsil and sanctioned by the Revenue Officer. Land held by a member of a Scheduled Tribe in a Fifth Schedule area carries transfer restrictions under the Land Revenue Code, so check the position on the specific parcel before either.

- What is the difference between the B-1 and the P-II?
- The B-1 is the record of rights: who holds the land, which Khasra numbers are under the holding, and how much area each carries. The P-II is the Khasra register, recording the crop and use of each field season by season. A title question needs the B-1; a question about how the land has actually been used needs the P-II.
- Can land in a Scheduled Area be bought by anyone?
- No. Large parts of Chhattisgarh, including the Bastar and Surguja divisions, are Fifth Schedule areas where the Land Revenue Code restricts transfer of land held by a member of a Scheduled Tribe to a non-tribal buyer. What is possible depends on the specific parcel and on collector permission, so this is a question for the tehsildar and an advocate before anything else.
