Combined four village map sheets on my phone in minutes
The editor worked perfectly on my phone. I uploaded the four adjacent survey sheets (S1, S2, S3, S4), aligned the edges where they meet, and exported a single print-ready map in minutes — no office visit and no surveyor needed. Best of all, the sheets stayed private on my phone the whole time. Simple, fast and accurate.
Joined my own FMB sheets in the editor — nothing to install
I downloaded my village map and FMB sketches and used the in-browser editor to join them myself. I just dragged each sheet onto the canvas and nudged the pieces with the arrow keys until the boundary lines lined up exactly. There was no software to install, and the maps never left my device. One payment covered the whole thing, and the export came out clean and sharp. Brilliant tool!
Got my combined FMB from home — no office visits needed
VillageMapJoiner made joining my land's FMB sketches really easy — I got the combined map from home without running to any office. When I asked for the old FMB, they clearly guided me that it's available at the District Collector office. Good service.
Incredible service for peace of mind!
I used this website to get a Joined FMB map, and the entire experience was seamless and fast. By combining individual sketches into one continuous view, it clearly illustrates how my property lines interact with adjacent plots. Having this definitive, highly accurate map leaves zero room for arguments and completely eliminates the risk of boundary disputes with neighbors. It is a fantastic platform that saves a lot of hassle—highly recommended!
What you can join
However many sheets it takes
There is no limit on the number of sheets, and they don't have to come from the same village.
Join two Khasra numbers
Land recorded as two adjoining khasra numbers has a sheet for each and neither shows the whole property. Put both on one canvas and the boundary they share lines up.
How it works →Join subdivisions of one Khasra number
A khasra number split between heirs or buyers is issued as a sheet per share. Bring the shares you need back together to see the parent parcel whole.
How it works →Show each share on one map
After a partition every share sits on its own sheet. Assemble them into a single map that shows who holds what, and how the shares sit against each other.
How it works →Prove a boundary against the next parcel
A boundary argument is about two khasra numbers, and one sheet only ever shows one of them. Joined, the shared edge is visible in one drawing.
How it works →Join two villages
Land that crosses a village boundary needs Tatima / Shajra (village map) sheets from both sides. Place them side by side and the holding stops being two half-views.
How it works →Merge contiguous parcels for a layout
Several khasra numbers bought together are one site on the ground and several sheets on paper. Join them into the single plan a layout, a valuer or an investor file needs.
How it works →Who uses it in Himachal Pradesh: Advocates, property consultants, hotel and orchard buyers around Shimla, Solan, Kangra, Kullu and Mandi use it for the case these records produce most: a holding spread over several Khasra numbers and Tatimas, joined into one plan for an Intkal, a bank loan, a demarcation request or a court file.

Himachal Pradesh keeps its land records the way Punjab does, because the system shares an origin. Each field is a Khasra number on the village map, the Shajra. The Jamabandi is the record of rights that says who holds it, the Khasra Girdawari notes what is grown and who is in possession each harvest, and an Intkal is the entry that records a transfer. The Patwari of the Patwar circle keeps all of it for the village.
Hill land splits often, by inheritance and partition, and every split is drawn as a Tatima: a sketch of the Khasra showing its new parts. So a holding here is usually a Shajra sheet or two plus several Tatimas, and a field near a sheet edge comes out cut. Get the sheets from HimBhoomi, where records are being digitised, or from the Patwari, then line them up along their shared boundaries in Village Map Joiner's in-browser editor. Nothing is uploaded.
There is no limit on how many sheets go into one map. Join a Shajra sheet with the Tatimas of the Khasras on it, assemble every sheet of a village, or place two adjoining villages side by side where a holding crosses the boundary. The export is one continuous map, as a PNG or a print-ready PDF.

Himachal Pradesh land records & documents
What each Himachal Pradesh land document is, and how to get it from HimBhoomi before you join the sheets in the editor.
Tatima and Shajra (village map)
The Shajra is the field map of a revenue village, showing each Khasra number with its boundaries across several sheets; it derives from the Musavi, the settlement map. A Tatima is the sketch drawn when a Khasra is split, showing its new parts. A holding usually needs a Shajra sheet or two plus the Tatimas for its split Khasras, which is why these are the sheets people join.
How to get it: Look up the village on HimBhoomi, where the state's land records are being digitised, or ask the Patwari of your Patwar circle. Collect every sheet your Khasra numbers fall on, and the Tatima for any Khasra that has been divided.
Jamabandi (record of rights)
The periodic record of rights for a village: the Khewat (ownership account), the Khatauni (cultivation account), owners and cultivators, each Khasra number with its area, and the revenue payable. It says who holds the land. A copy of an entry is often called a Nakal.
How to get it: View it on HimBhoomi by district, tehsil and village. A certified copy comes from the Patwari or the tehsil, which is the copy a bank, a court or a registration will ask for.
Khasra Girdawari
The crop inspection recorded against each Khasra number at every harvest: what was sown and who was in possession. It keeps the Jamabandi's description of the land current, and it is often relied on to show possession at a particular time.
How to get it: Maintained by the Patwari and checked by the Kanungo. Recent entries can be looked up on the land-records portal; older ones come from the tehsil.
Intkal (mutation)
The entry that records a transfer, by sale, inheritance, gift or partition, against the holding in the revenue record. Until it is attested, the Jamabandi still names the previous owner whatever the sale deed says.
How to get it: Entered by the Patwari and attested by the revenue officer for the tehsil. Check its status on the portal or at the tehsil before relying on a downloaded Jamabandi for a purchase.

FAQ
Questions people in Himachal Pradesh ask
- How do I join Tatima or Shajra sheets in Himachal Pradesh?
- Note the district, tehsil and village as your Jamabandi spells them and list the Khasra numbers you hold, including any split ones. Get the Shajra sheet and any Tatima for each of them from HimBhoomi or the Patwari, open the Village Map Joiner editor, drag every sheet onto the canvas and align the shared boundary lines. Export one high-resolution PNG or print-ready PDF.
- What is the difference between a Tatima and the Shajra?
- The Shajra is the village map, showing every Khasra with its boundaries across several sheets. A Tatima is the sketch drawn when a Khasra is divided, showing its new parts and their numbers. If your field was partitioned or sold in part, the Tatima shows the current shape and the Shajra shows where it sits.
- Can anyone buy land in Himachal Pradesh?
- Himachal Pradesh restricts transfers of land to people who are not agriculturists of the state without government permission, under Section 118 of its tenancy and land reforms law. Whether a particular purchase is allowed is a question for the tehsildar and an advocate, not for this page.
- Are my Himachal Pradesh land records uploaded anywhere?
- No. The editor renders, crops and joins the sheets entirely in your browser, so your Khasra and Jamabandi details never leave your device. Nothing is stored on a server.
