Combined four village map sheets on my phone in minutes
The editor worked perfectly on my phone. I uploaded the four adjacent survey sheets (S1, S2, S3, S4), aligned the edges where they meet, and exported a single print-ready map in minutes — no office visit and no surveyor needed. Best of all, the sheets stayed private on my phone the whole time. Simple, fast and accurate.
Joined my own FMB sheets in the editor — nothing to install
I downloaded my village map and FMB sketches and used the in-browser editor to join them myself. I just dragged each sheet onto the canvas and nudged the pieces with the arrow keys until the boundary lines lined up exactly. There was no software to install, and the maps never left my device. One payment covered the whole thing, and the export came out clean and sharp. Brilliant tool!
Got my combined FMB from home — no office visits needed
VillageMapJoiner made joining my land's FMB sketches really easy — I got the combined map from home without running to any office. When I asked for the old FMB, they clearly guided me that it's available at the District Collector office. Good service.
Incredible service for peace of mind!
I used this website to get a Joined FMB map, and the entire experience was seamless and fast. By combining individual sketches into one continuous view, it clearly illustrates how my property lines interact with adjacent plots. Having this definitive, highly accurate map leaves zero room for arguments and completely eliminates the risk of boundary disputes with neighbors. It is a fantastic platform that saves a lot of hassle—highly recommended!
What you can join
However many sheets it takes
There is no limit on the number of sheets, and they don't have to come from the same village.
Join two Khasra / Khewat numbers
Land recorded as two adjoining khasra / khewat numbers has a sheet for each and neither shows the whole property. Put both on one canvas and the boundary they share lines up.
How it works →Join subdivisions of one Khasra / Khewat number
A khasra / khewat number split between heirs or buyers is issued as a sheet per share. Bring the shares you need back together to see the parent parcel whole.
How it works →Show each share on one map
After a partition every share sits on its own sheet. Assemble them into a single map that shows who holds what, and how the shares sit against each other.
How it works →Prove a boundary against the next parcel
A boundary argument is about two khasra / khewat numbers, and one sheet only ever shows one of them. Joined, the shared edge is visible in one drawing.
How it works →Join two villages
Land that crosses a village boundary needs Shajra / Musavi (village map) sheets from both sides. Place them side by side and the holding stops being two half-views.
How it works →Merge contiguous parcels for a layout
Several khasra / khewat numbers bought together are one site on the ground and several sheets on paper. Join them into the single plan a layout, a valuer or an investor file needs.
How it works →Who uses it in Punjab: Advocates, property consultants and land-aggregation teams around Ludhiana, Amritsar, Jalandhar and Mohali use it for the case Punjab produces most: a Khewat whose Khasra numbers are scattered across the village after generations of partition, joined into one plan for a valuation, a bank file, a Takseem or a court annexure.

High-res export

One Fard in Punjab carries three different numbers for the same land, and they are the reason most requests come back wrong. The Khewat is the owner's holding, the Khatauni is the cultivator's, and the Khasra is the field itself. A map is issued against the Khasra, so a request quoting a Khewat number gets you a different answer than you expected.
The map is the Shajra, the field map of the village, drawn across several sheets and held with the Patwari for the circle. Get the sheets your Khasra numbers fall on through the PLRS portal or the tehsil, then line them up along their shared boundaries in Village Map Joiner's in-browser editor. The sheets stay on your own device throughout.
There is no limit on how many go into one map. Join two Khasra sheets or twenty, bring the sheets of a Takseem back together after a partition, assemble every sheet of a large village, or place two adjoining villages side by side where a holding crosses the boundary. The export is one continuous map, as a PNG or a print-ready PDF.

Punjab land records & documents
What each Punjab land document is, and how to get it from Punjab Land Records (PLRS) before you join the sheets in the editor.
Shajra Kishtwar (village map)
The field map of a revenue village, drawn across several sheets, showing each Khasra number with its boundaries. It is the drawing a boundary question is answered from, and the one a holding scattered by generations of partition needs several of.
How to get it: Through the PLRS portal for your district, tehsil and village, or from the Patwari for the circle. Take the Khasra numbers off your Fard first, because the sheets are issued against them rather than against the Khewat.
Fard Jamabandi
The record of rights for a village, revised periodically. One Fard carries three different numbers for the same land: the Khewat for the owner's holding, the Khatauni for the cultivator's, and the Khasra for the individual field. Quoting the wrong one is the commonest reason a request comes back with the wrong document.
How to get it: Open the PLRS portal, select district, tehsil and village, and search by owner name, Khewat or Khasra number. The online copy is for information; a certified Fard comes from the tehsil.
Shajra Nasab
The pedigree table for a holding, showing how it descended through a family. Despite the shared word it is not a map, and a great deal of confusion at the counter comes from asking for a Shajra and being handed one of the two.
How to get it: Held with the village record at the tehsil and served alongside the Jamabandi on PLRS. A succession question needs this; a boundary question needs the Shajra Kishtwar.
Roznamcha and Intkal
The Roznamcha is the Patwari's daily register, where a reported transaction is first entered as a Rapat. The Intkal is the mutation that follows, entering the transfer against the holding in the Jamabandi. A sale that has been reported but not mutated exists in the first and not yet in the second.
How to get it: Both sit with the Patwari for the circle, with mutation sanctioned by the Revenue Officer at the tehsil. Check mutation status before relying on a Fard for a purchase.

FAQ
Questions people in Punjab ask
- How do I join Shajra sheets in Punjab?
- Take the Khasra numbers off your Fard, then get the Shajra sheets covering them through the PLRS portal or the Patwari for your village circle. Open the Village Map Joiner editor, drag every sheet onto the canvas and align the shared boundary lines. Export the whole thing as one high-resolution PNG or print-ready PDF.
- What is the difference between Khewat, Khatauni and Khasra?
- The Khewat is the ownership account: one owner or set of co-owners, and everything they hold in that village. The Khatauni is the cultivation account, which can name a tenant rather than the owner. The Khasra is the individual field number, and it is the one the map is drawn against. All three appear on the same Fard, which is why people quote the wrong one.
- Is the Shajra Nasab the same as the Shajra map?
- No, and the shared word causes real confusion at the counter. The Shajra Kishtwar is the field map of the village. The Shajra Nasab is the pedigree table, showing how a holding descended through a family. A succession question needs the second; a boundary question needs the first.
- Are my Punjab land records uploaded anywhere?
- No. The editor renders, crops and joins the sheets entirely in your browser, so your Khasra, Khewat and Fard details never leave your device. Nothing is stored on a server.
