Land on the edge of Phalodi

A holding that crosses a tehsil or village boundary needs sheets from both sides. Both go on the same canvas, there is no limit on how many, and no extra charge for it. Phalodi adjoins other tehsils of Jodhpur:

Rajasthan land documents

Bhu-Naksha (village map)

The cadastral map of a revenue village, showing each Khasra number with its boundaries. It is served a sheet at a time, so a holding spread over several Khasra numbers, or one sitting at a sheet edge, needs more than one sheet to see whole.

Open Bhu-Naksha Rajasthan, choose district, tehsil and village, then select the Khasra numbers you need and download or print each sheet. Repeat for every sheet your holding spans, then bring them all into the editor.

Jamabandi (Nakal)

The record of rights for a village, revised periodically: the Khatedar for each Khasra number, the area, the class of land and any co-holders or encumbrances noted against it. This is the document a bank or a buyer asks for first.

Open Apna Khata, pick your district, tehsil and village, and search by Khasra number, Khata number or Khatedar name. The copy shown online is for information; a signed Nakal comes from the Patwari or the tehsil.

Girdawari

The crop inspection the Patwari records each season against every Khasra number: what was sown, and whether the land was irrigated. It is what keeps the Jamabandi's description of the land current, and it is often what a compensation or crop-loss claim is decided on.

Held by the Patwari for the circle, with entries reflected in the record on Apna Khata. A correction to a Girdawari entry is applied for at the tehsil.

Namantaran and Tarmim

Namantaran is mutation, entering a transfer against the Khasra in the Jamabandi. Tarmim is the separate correction that redraws the map after a sub-division. They move at different speeds, which is why a partitioned holding routinely shows as divided in the record and still undivided on the Bhu-Naksha.

Both are applied for through the tehsil, with the Patwari preparing the underlying entry. Where the map has not yet been corrected, joining the sheets you do have is the fastest way to see the parent parcel whole.
