What is Meghalaya Transfer of Land (Regulation) Act, 1971 in Meghalaya?
The state law that restricts transfer of land from a tribal to a non-tribal, and between non-tribals, without permission from the competent authority. Whether a transaction needs that permission depends on who the parties are, and it is settled at the Deputy Commissioner's office, not by the sketch.
