Shajra Kishtwar (field map)
The field map of a revenue village: every Khasra number drawn with its boundaries, at survey scale. A village is drawn across several sheets, and the Khasra numbers of one holding routinely straddle two of them — which is why joining is usually the first job.
How to get it: Through the DLRC portal for your district, or the Patwari / tehsil office for your sub-division. Ask for every sheet your Khasra numbers fall on, not just the first: the boundary you care about is often on the next sheet.
Khatauni (record of rights)
The record of holdings for a revenue village — who holds which Khasra numbers, under which Khata, and how much area. It is the text record that goes with the Shajra.
How to get it: Available through dlrc.delhi.gov.in by district, sub-division and village. A certified copy comes from the tehsil; the online copy is for information.
Khasra Girdawari
The crop and possession inspection recorded against each Khasra, season by season. In Delhi it matters well beyond agriculture: it is often the record relied on to show who was in possession of a parcel at a given time.
How to get it: Requested from the Patwari for the revenue village, or the tehsil office. Not reliably available online.
Lal Dora certificate
Confirms that a property falls inside the Lal Dora — the abadi (settled) area of a revenue village, historically outside municipal building rules. Buyers and lenders ask for it because the answer changes what can be built and how the title is treated.
How to get it: Issued by the office of the Revenue Department / SDM for the district, against the revenue village and Khasra number. The Shajra shows you where the Lal Dora boundary runs.
